Saving & Loading

Accounts, teams, saving and loading scenarios, public scenarios, and what data is preserved.

Accounts & Privileges

You can use the visualizer immediately as a guest — build and explore freely with the default HOME / AWAY teams. To save and load scenarios you need an account:

  • Guest — build, explore, load public scenarios. No saving.
  • Free account — build and explore; up to 3 saved scenarios (tier limit).
  • Premium — unlimited scenarios, scenario search, sharing, and open-scenario browsing.

Log in via the File menu → Login. Save, Load and team selection are premium features — the app tells you exactly what is required when you try them.

Teams

  • Without an account (or on the Free tier) the visualizer uses the generic HOME and AWAY teams.
  • Premium users pick custom teams from File → Teams — players then use that team's names, numbers, kit and photos.
  • Teams are managed on the website (Manage Teams) — kits, colours, player photos — and load automatically into the visualizer.

Saving a Scenario

  1. From the File menu choose Save (or Save As… for a copy with a new name).
  2. The whole scene is saved to your account on the server: every item, every keyframe, attachment, action, graphic window, zone visual window, the timeline length, and the selected teams.
  3. Saving updates the existing scenario; Save As… creates a new one.

Loading a Scenario

  1. File → Load opens the scenario list (your saved scenarios).
  2. Pick one — the scene restores completely: pitch layout, timeline tracks and keys, playback settings, teams.
  3. File → Open / Public browses public scenarios: Premium users see all public scenarios; guests and free users see scenarios from accounts that enabled open access.
  4. Opening a public scenario loads it as a local copy — your changes won't overwrite the original unless you Save As… under your own account.

What Exactly Is Saved?

Every scenario save captures the complete data model:

  • Phases — the base pitch states (item positions at each phase).
  • Timeline tracks — one per item, with all lanes:
  • Movement keys (position at a second) and their segment settings (straight / curve / arch)
    Action keys (player animations)
Graphic keys (arrow on/off + per-window arrow colours)
Attachment keys (ball/zone following a player, or detached)
Visual windows (zone radius, shape points, colour, opacity, thickness, vertex links)
  • Timeline length (the duration you set).
  • Home & away teams (references to your team library).

Scenario Sharing (Premium)

  • Public — mark a scenario public so other Premium users can find and copy it.
  • Share — share directly with specific accounts (they must be Premium).
  • Open access — account owners can enable "open scenarios" so guests and free users can browse and load their public scenarios.

Tips

  • Save often — saving is instant and everything is preserved.
  • Use Save As… to fork a drill into variations.
  • Your scenarios are tied to your account, so you can continue from any device after logging in.
