Saving, Loading & Sharing
Save the branch tree, keep teams separate, sync each category across devices, and prepare content for offline use.

Local work and account content
On the website, sign in to save and load account content. The installed mobile app also saves guest work locally without an account, and opens saved content offline. Sign in to sync your work across devices; signing in alone does not copy guest work into an account. Use Copy local work into this account, then sync each category you need.
Teams
Choose your home and away teams from their player menus to dress the players on the pitch. Scenarios save player slots and tactics only. Team names, identities, kits and squads are not saved with scenarios. Opening a scenario keeps the teams you currently have selected.
Teams are managed on the website's Manage Teams page or the app's Teams page: names, colours, badge, squad numbers, player photos and kit textures. There are downloadable kit templates (shirt front and back, shorts front and back, socks) you can paint in any image editor and upload back to the team.
What gets saved
A scenario is saved as its whole branch tree: every branch, each with its own timeline — its length, its tracks, every movement key, and every action, graphic, attachment and visual key on them — plus the segment settings between movement keys (straight / curved, bend, arch), and the scenario's name.

Saving
- Open the File menu and choose Save (updates the scenario you opened) or Save As… (creates a copy under a new name).
- On the website, sign in if prompted. In the installed app, edits save locally; use Sync scenarios to send them to your account.
- That is it. The branch tree and every branch's timeline are saved together.
Tip: Save before big changes. Undo keeps 60 steps for the current session, but a reload starts fresh.
Loading
- File menu → Load scenario. Your own scenarios are listed there.
- Pick one and it opens on the pitch, ready to play, using your currently selected teams.
Scenarios from the older frontend (V2)
Older scenarios — everything built before the scenario tree existed — open in exactly the same way. A V2 scenario simply becomes the root branch: its phases, movement keys, curves, arches, attachments and zone windows are all there, as one timeline.
From that point it is a normal V3 scenario: split it by adding sub-branches under it, give each one its own timeline, and reorder them. Nothing you did in the past is rewritten or dropped.
Public scenarios
Public scenarios are shared by other coaches. Opening one loads a copy — it becomes your own scenario, and saving never overwrites the original. The pitch keeps the teams you already had. Downloading a public scenario does not copy the author's teams.
Sync across devices and take your work offline
In the installed mobile app, edits save on your device immediately. Sync is a separate step that sends your changes to your KickViz account and downloads saved account content. Teams and Scenarios sync separately; neither button syncs the other category. The website saves to your account when you choose Save.
- Sign in with the same account on every device while you have an internet connection. Open the hamburger menu to find Sign in / Register, Teams and Scenarios.
- On the device where you made changes: open Teams and tap Sync teams, or open Scenarios and tap Sync scenarios. If you edited on the website, save there first.
- On the device you want to take with you: sync each category you need. This downloads your account content to that phone or tablet.
- Before leaving: wait for Available offline on your saved items. Teams also need their kits and player photos downloaded. If images are missing, stay connected and sync Teams again. Open your teams and scenarios to check them.
If device and server versions differ, Keep device version sends this device's version to your account; Keep server version replaces the local version with the account version; Save a copy keeps both as separate items. Choose the version containing the changes you want.
At the pitch, no internet is needed to open, play or edit content already downloaded in the installed app. Stay signed in to access that account's local content: signing out switches to separate local-only work. Offline edits stay on that device until you reconnect and sync the categories you changed. Signing in, syncing, browsing public scenarios and downloading new images require internet. The website itself requires a connection.
Started without an account? Sign in, open Account and choose Copy local work into this account. Then sync Teams and Scenarios separately. This creates copies; signing in alone does not move your local work. Download public scenarios before you go too. They contain the drill only, so sync your own teams separately.
Sharing what you built
The Capture button (bottom-right of the viewport) saves the current view as a PNG image — handy for a session plan, a group chat or a slide. On mobile it shares straight into your photos.
